It is clear that there would be a huge gap in the Liverpool midfield next season with the imminent departure of legendary captain, Steven Gerrard and they are looking to fill that gap with midfield maestro, Arturo Vidal

Vidal could be leaving Juventus in the summer as the UEFA Champions league finalists are set to make a move for Roma midfielder, Radja Nainggolan. Liverpool would be looking to replace Gerrard with Vidal even though both are different types of players with Vidal being more of a willing runner and tough tackler as well as an attacking threat. Liverpool might get the Chilean on the cheap side but all that is still dependent of Juventus’ purchase of Nainggolan.

Liverpool would most likely face competition from Manchester United who tried to sign Vidal last summer as well as Manchester City who would willingly chase Vidal of they can’t get Pogba
