The Nigerian under-20 team, popularly called the flying eagles came through a tough match against Senegal to be crowned winners of the 2015 African Youth Championship.
Senegal started in the ascendancy, creating some good opening but the Senegalese were unable to capitalize on the spaces afforded them by the flying eagles before the Nigerians took the lead through Bernard Bulbwa’s strike. Senegal struggled to get a foothold on the game but the Nigerians were up to the task ans should have made more use of the space afforced them by the Senegalese as they pushed forward in search of an equalizer but their lack of experience came to play.
Nigeria held in to win the 20^th edition of the youth tournament and would now have their sights set on the under 20 world cup later in the year.
