[Naija News] Police Recover Vehicle Of Kidnapped Sokoto Businessman

The police in Sokoto have recovered the vehicle of a businessman, Alhaji Abu Dankure, who was kidnapped in the state on Wednesday.

 

The Spokesman of the police command in the state, DSP Al-Mustapha Sani, told the News Agency of Nigeria ( NAN) on Thursday in Sokoto that Dankure was kidnapped on Wednesday in Sokoto at the Kupper area of the city.

 

 He said ``the gun-wielding hoodlums were said to have taken him away and his Toyota Camry car.

``However, the car was found at a farmland near Durbawa Village in Kware Local Government Area of the state.

 

``The car has Sarkin Fadan Sarkin Musulmi - Alhaji Abu Kure as its registration number.''

Sani said that the vehicle was recovered by a combined patrol team of policemen from the Unguwar Rogo Police Division in Sokoto, as well as those from the Kware Division.

``The vehicle was intact when it was found as the hoodlums had not tampered with it.

``The car is now in the custody of the state police command, while efforts are on to trail the kidnappers and the business tycoon.''
